Dear First Church of Chiefland,

  I am writing on behalf of my parents, Harold and Elizabeth Doane.  They spent their winters there in Chiefland at Breezy Acres Campground and were visitors of yours during their stay.  Since their last winter there in '06-'07 much has changed.  Dad passed away in Sept '07  and soon after that, Mom began to develop symptoms of Alzheimer's.  Only a year after Dad's passing, Mom fell at home and broke her hip.  After surgery and a brief stay in a Frankfort nursing home for rehab, we discover that the Alzheimer's had set in much deeper than we had originally observed.  Due to the severity of her condition we then placed her in the loving care of the Masonic Home in Shelbyville, KY where she has been for a little over a year now... They often spoke of their fellowship with First Church of Chiefland and we appreciate the warm reception you gave them the year they wintered in you part of the country.  Below you will fine Mom's address at the Masonic Home if you would like to continue correspondence...
